Description: Heat resistant hood protecting the worker against short-term contact with fire, convective heat, thermal radiation and splashes of molten aluminum and iron. The hood is adapted for use with an infrared filter, type BIR (protection levels 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 4-6, 4-7) with dimensions of 105x105mm.
Application: Hood is designed for tapping and pouring steel, cast iron and other metals at pots, bottling stations, hole burners, heavy welders and others related to the above-mentioned impact factors.
Hood's available versions:
NU-1/K-2/s:
metallized para-aramid fabric 460 g/m2 with a high thermal radiation reflectance
Meets requirements:
- ISO 11612: A1 B1 C3 D3 E3 F2
- ISO 13688
NU-7/K-2/s:
metallized para-aramid fabric 460 g/m2 (viscose 43% / para-aramid 57%) with a high thermal radiation reflectance
Meets requirements:
- ISO 11612: A1 B1 C4 D3 E3 F2
- ISO 13688
NU-8/K-2/s:
metallized para-aramid fabric 500 g/m2 (preox 70% / para-aramid 30%) with a high thermal radiation reflectance
Meets requirements:
- ISO 11612: A1 B1 C3 D3 E3 F1
- ISO 13688
NU-8A/K-2/s:
metallized para-aramid fabric 340 g/m2 (preox 70% / para-aramid 30%) with a high thermal radiation reflectance
Meets requirements:
- ISO 11612: A1 B1 C3 D3 E3 F1
- ISO 13688
Note: The filter only protects against infrared radiation. Contact with sharp, rough, greasy and dirty surfaces, especially in the field of view of the filter, significantly shortens its service life. The filter marking is placed on the outside. Hood filters are sold separately.
